Description
We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
- Current state license in good standing with the State License Board. OH license preferred; KY license preferred.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
- One year experience as an RRT in an acute care hospital setting. Experience providing intensive respiratory care, mechanical ventilation management, and ventilator setup required.
- Demonstrated experience with invasive and non-invasive ventilation, tracheostomy care, endotracheal tube management, suctioning (oral, nasal, tracheal), and arterial puncture for blood gas sampling.
- Familiarity with cardiopulmonary procedures including 12-lead EKG acquisition, basic arrhythmia recognition, pulmonary function testing (NIF, VC), and assisting with bronchoscopy or chest tube procedures.
- Ability to perform oximetry and capnography monitoring, review chest x-rays for therapy decisions, and operate a variety of oxygen delivery, aerosol, and nebulizer devices.
- BLS certification required. ACLS required or able to obtain per facility policy.
- Ability to document treatments, charges, and patient responses accurately in the medical record.
