Description

Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights. Join our team as a Cath Lab Tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role on a team that values your skills while experiencing Toledo, OH. You will assist physicians and cath lab personnel in conducting diagnostic and interventional procedures, operate advanced imaging and monitoring equipment, and help capture diagnostic data of the heart and vascular system.


What You'll Need:

  • ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist or equivalent imaging credential.
  • ARRT or RCIS certification required. RCIS or CCI credentials acceptable.
  • Minimum 2 years' Cath Lab hospital experience required.
  • BLS required. ACLS preferred.
  • Vocational/Technical degree in RCIS, Radiologic Technology, or accredited Electrophysiology program required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with structured heart and endovascular procedures is a plus.
  • Experience with Philips and McKesson EMR/technology preferred.
  • May be required to float to other nearby facilities when needed.


Assignment Details

  • Facility Type: Hospital.
  • Shift Name: Days.
  • Schedule Options: 36 or 40 hours per week; 9-, 10- or 12-hour shifts.
  • Typical shift start/end times vary by shift length: examples include 07:00–15:30, 07:30–17:00, 07:30–18:00, or 07:30–19:30 depending on selected shift.
  • On-call requirement: approximately 1 day per week and every 4th weekend (Fri–Sun rotation).
  • Assignment duration: 13-week travel assignment (local candidates may be considered).

Outdoor options include nearby Oak Openings Preserve Metropark and Side Cut Metropark within 20–30 minutes for hiking and birding, and the Toledo Zoo is a well-known family attraction less than 15 minutes from downtown. Public transit connections and regional highways support commuting and weekend travel to cultural districts, professional sports venues, and culinary neighborhoods.


Role Overview and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with cardiac electrophysiology studies and ablation procedures by calibrating equipment, setting up procedure rooms, prepping patients, operating monitoring and recording devices, and collecting diagnostic data during procedures.
  • Maintain electronic and radiologic safety in the laboratory environment and ensure correct use of all PPE including lead aprons and thyroid shields.
  • Monitor and interpret ECGs and multiple physiologic data streams to support rapid clinical decisions during procedures.
  • Calculate and assist with medication dosages as directed and support patient positioning and transport when required.
  • Support inventory management, equipment maintenance, and accurate procedure documentation to support billing and compliance.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • ACLS certification preferred.
  • Structured heart and endovascular procedure experience preferred.
  • Prior experience with Philips imaging systems and McKesson EMR preferred.
