Jackson HealthPros is seeking a skilled nuclear medicine technologist to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team. The technologist will prepare and administer radioactive pharmaceuticals, operate radiation detection and imaging equipment, perform a variety of nuclear medicine studies, and document patient care in the electronic medical record.

Minimum Requirements

• An associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology.
• State license and certification to practice nuclear medicine in CA. CA NMT license required.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a nuclear medicine technologist.
• Experience with RadNet and Merge Unity or similar PACS/EMR systems preferred.
• Experience performing cardiac, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying preferred.
• Experience operating GE gamma camera equipment preferred.
• Ability to work with one scanner/room and manage an average volume of 5–10 studies per day.

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Hospital.
• Shift: Days.
• Shift hours: 08:00–16:00 (Days 08:00–16:00 listed).
• Orientation hours: 12 hours.
• On-call/Call requirements: Weekday call after 16:30 on a rotating schedule; rotating weekends; rotating holidays.
• Scheduling model: 8-hour day shifts; no block scheduling.
• Clinical charting system: Cerner. PACS: RadNet and Merge Unity.
• Department equipment: GE gamma camera.
• Department size: 1 scanner/room.
• Average studies per day: 5–10.
• Float requirement: May be required to float to another nearby facility approximately 6.5 miles away.
