Description
We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Dallas, TX where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
- Current Texas state license in good standing.
- One year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- BLS certification.
- Experience working with pediatric patients. (Client-specific requirement.)
- Experience with invasive and noninvasive ventilation management. (Client-specific requirement.)
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record system preferred.
- Willingness to float to other pediatric areas within the facility as required. (Client-specific requirement.)
- Preferred: prior critical care experience.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital, Pediatric Emergency Department.
- Shift: Days.
- Shift hours: 07:00–19:00.
- Unit size: 15 beds; 1 pediatric respiratory therapist assigned to the pediatric ED.
- Patient ratio: 1 therapist for the Pediatric ED.
- EMR: Meditech.
- On-call requirement: no.
- Floating requirement: yes, may float to pediatric spaces.
- Typical procedures: bronchiolitis scoring, noninvasive ventilation, invasive ventilation, respiratory arrest management.
