We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Dallas, TX where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Texas state license in good standing.
• One year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• BLS certification.
• Experience working with pediatric patients. (Client-specific requirement.)
• Experience with invasive and noninvasive ventilation management. (Client-specific requirement.)
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record system preferred.
• Willingness to float to other pediatric areas within the facility as required. (Client-specific requirement.)
• Preferred: prior critical care experience.

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Hospital, Pediatric Emergency Department.
• Shift: Days.
• Shift hours: 07:00–19:00.
• Unit size: 15 beds; 1 pediatric respiratory therapist assigned to the pediatric ED.
• Patient ratio: 1 therapist for the Pediatric ED.
• EMR: Meditech.
• On-call requirement: no.
• Floating requirement: yes, may float to pediatric spaces.
• Typical procedures: bronchiolitis scoring, noninvasive ventilation, invasive ventilation, respiratory arrest management.
