What You'll Need:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program

• AART Certification in Radiation Therapy

• Valid Radiation Therapy state license, if required

• 2 years' experience as a radiation therapist

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Therapeutic Radiology.

• ARRT (T) registration required.

• BLS required.

• Minimum of 1 year of radiation therapy experience. Preferred: 2 years' experience as a radiation therapist.

• Experience with ambulatory and oncology radiation therapy environments.

• Experience with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators preferred.

• Experience delivering IMRT, SBRT, SRS, HDR, and 3D treatment modalities.

• Experience using EPIC and Aria electronic medical records preferred.

• Duration: 13 Week assignment
• Patient Volume: Average 30–45 patients per day
• Technology / Equipment: Varian TrueBeam linacs; EMR: EPIC, Aria
• Scheduling: No weekends. No call. Travelers will work approximately 75% of holidays.
• Orientation: Departmental orientation provided.
• Floating: No floating required.

Cultural options include the Concord Mills shopping complex and Charlotte’s Uptown arts district, both accessible by a 20–40 minute drive, supporting an active suburban lifestyle with convenient access to urban amenities. Transit options include Interstate access via I-85 and regional airport service at Charlotte Douglas International Airport approximately 25 miles away, enabling easy travel and weekend trips.

Additional Duties:

• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment in accordance with departmental protocols.

• Accurately position patients and ensure proper immobilization during treatment.

• Verify treatment plans and dosages with the oncology team.

• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after therapy and report concerns to supervising staff.

• Document treatments and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR.
