Join our skilled team of imaging professionals as an IR Tech and use your expertise to perform invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will be responsible for the operation and quality assurance of imaging equipment, patient monitoring, and procedural support in a combined Cath Lab/IR department.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2 years of Cath Lab and/or IR experience. IR experience preferred. Experience must include invasive cardiology procedures such as TAVR, structural heart, AAA repairs, and ablations where applicable.
• ARRT-R certification for Radiologic Technologists performing IR procedures.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS required for RN candidates; ACLS preferred for IR Techs.
• State radiologic technologist license for Illinois.
• Experience with EPIC and MERGE charting systems preferred.
• Ability to scrub and record procedures, perform moderate sedation support (sign-off provided onsite), and float between Cath Lab and IR per skillset.
• Preferred: prior experience in a Level 2 trauma center, Magnet-designated hospital, or primary stroke center.

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Hospital.
• Shift name: Days.
• Schedule: 5x8 day shifts, standard 40 hours per week.
• Orientation: 1–3 days on unit based on comfort level.
• Floating: May be required to float between Cath Lab and IR based on skillset.
• Procedural environment: Combined Cath Lab/IR with 4 procedure rooms; pre/post areas staffed separately.
• Weekend and call expectations: Weekend rotation and call schedule apply. Nurse call example: one week every three weeks; RT call varies one week every 3–4 weeks depending on role. Call shifts include extended on-call periods for weekdays and 24/7 weekends.
