Description

Join the team as an Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) where you will operate specialized ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic images used by physicians to evaluate and treat medical conditions. You will perform a range of ultrasound studies and ultrasound-guided invasive procedures in an acute hospital environment.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or ARRT(S).
  • 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer.
  • BLS certification.
  • Experience performing general, vascular, OBGYN, small parts, and ultrasound-guided invasive procedures such as paracentesis and thoracentesis.
  • Experience with vascular studies including ABI/WBI/TBI, arterial and venous upper and lower extremity studies, carotid, AVF mapping, and other vascular protocols.
  • Experience with abdominal and transplant studies including liver doppler, renal artery, liver/renal transplant, TIPS, and aortic imaging.
  • Familiarity with neonatal cranial, obstetric limited first/second/third trimester, breast limited (r/o abscess), testicular, soft tissue and hernia evaluations.
  • Experience using electronic medical records and radiology systems preferred. Facility uses Epic (EMR), Epic Radiant (RIS), and Philips iSite (PACS).
  • Previous hospital experience preferred. Candidates with experience across inpatient, observation, outpatient, and ED settings are preferred.
  • First-time travelers accepted (preferred).


Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Hospital.
  • Shift: Days.
  • Shift hours: 0600-1500.
  • Schedule: 5x8.
  • Standard hours per week: 40.
  • Duration: 13 Week travel assignment.
  • Department case mix includes inpatient, observation, outpatient, and ED patients.
  • Typical volume: approximately 48 studies per day, higher on weekdays.
  • Radiology services available: X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine.
  • Onsite radiologist coverage seven days per week and radiologist PAs on weekdays and weekends.
  • Orientation: 1 day administrative onboarding plus 2–10 days departmental orientation as needed.
  • Floating: No.
