Description
We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Frankfort, KY where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
- Current Kentucky state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
- Minimum one year of hospital-based respiratory therapy experience.
- Experience with mechanical ventilators, including Hamilton C-1 and Avea ventilators preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- NRP preferred; if not held, employer can provide NRP training on site. (Preferred)
- Competence in arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and respiratory procedures commonly performed in acute care settings.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital.
- Unit: Respiratory Therapy supporting ED, ICU and NICU, and inpatient beds.
- Shift: Nights, 1900–0700.
- Schedule notes: Night shift staffing; staff self-schedules on a 4-week system with every other weekend required.
- Equipment: Use of Hamilton C-1 BiPAP, AirVOs, Avea vents and Aerogen nebulizer systems.
- Documentation system: Meditech (Meditec).
- Floating: Floating policy not applicable to this position.

Additional Information
Hospital certifications include Level 3 Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Level 2 NICU, and Primary PCI accreditation. The department has new BiPAP and Aerogen equipment.
