We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current license in good standing with the Ohio Respiratory Care Board.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; facility prefers at least 1 year of experience. (Preferred).
• Certification: BLS required.
• ACLS required.
• PALS required.
• NRP highly preferred; must be open to working with or certified to work with infants/newborns. Facility will train if needed.
• Experience required with mechanical ventilators, including 980 ventilators, high flow nasal cannula, and heated high flow systems.
• Experience administering nebulized and other inhaled medications.
• Facility will accept CRT or RRT.
• Ability to function in critical care settings including ER, ICU, CVICU, NICU/step-down, and med-surg floors.
• Preferred: ACCS, NPS endorsements, or additional advanced certifications (Preferred).

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Hospital.
• Shift: Nights.
• Shift pattern: 12-hour night shift with rotation weekly; nights will rotate each week and include every other weekend.
• Unit staffing: Night unit normally staffs 4–5 respiratory therapists depending on volume.
• Caseload expectations: Ideally 40–50 units; assignments distributed by points and may require coverage across multiple floors.
• Clinical procedures: RTs assist with tracheostomies, bronchoscopies, BAL, arterial lines, intubations, and diagnostic testing.
• Pediatric/newborn requirement: Must be willing to work with neonatal/infant patients; NRP highly preferred.
• Equipment: Clinical competency with 980 ventilators expected.
