Jackson HealthPros is thrilled to welcome an experienced MRI Technologist to support a hospital in Kings Mountain, NC. The MRI Technologist will accurately interpret physician scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, and expertly operate MRI scanners to create diagnostic images. The role emphasizes patient safety, quality imaging, and effective communication with clinical teams.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (R) and ARRT(MR).
• State licensure for MRI technologists as required by North Carolina.
• Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience; 2–3 years preferred by the facility.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with GE MRI scanners.
• Experience working primarily with adult and geriatric outpatient populations. Facility notes occasional ED and inpatient cases.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR and PACS workflows.
• Able to assist with patient lifting within the department when needed. Facility may request help with X-ray duties if candidate has X-ray experience and is comfortable performing them (preferred, not required).
• Ability to complete hospital orientation and a full week of department training with another MRI tech. Facility will not leave travelers unattended during first two weeks.

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Hospital.
• Shift name: Days.
• Shift details: Monday–Friday, 07:00–16:00 (schedule aligns with M–F 7:30–16:00 in department scheduling notes).
• Typical patient volume: approximately 7–11 patients per day, majority outpatient.
• Equipment: GE MRI scanner.
• EMR/PACS: EPIC and standard PACS systems.
• Orientation: hospital orientation plus one week of in-department training with another MRI tech.
• Floating: May be asked to assist with X-ray tasks if experienced and comfortable. Expectation to assist lifting patients within the department when not busy.
• On-call: No.
• Holiday coverage: May be asked to work one holiday; hours remain the same.
• Schedule cycle: released every six weeks.
