We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Ohio state license in good standing for Respiratory Therapy.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Minimum one year experience as an RRT in an acute care hospital setting preferred; experience with ICU or ventilator management preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, ventilator setup and self-test, and monitoring of ventilatory equipment.
• Proficiency with arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling/analysis, oximetry and capnography monitoring.
• Ability to perform tracheostomy care, endotracheal tube insertion/removal (including video laryngoscope), suctioning, and chest physiotherapy per policy.
• Competence with 12-lead EKG acquisition and basic arrhythmia recognition.
• Ability to assist with bronchoscopy, chest tube management, and other respiratory-related procedures per facility policy.
• Documentation skills for respiratory therapy records and electronic charting.
• Ability to work night shifts and to collaborate in shift-to-shift communication.
• Preferred: experience in moderate complexity laboratory specimen handling and pulmonary function testing.
