What You'll Need:
- Appropriate basic credentials per job code: ARRT certification (for Radiologic-based tech roles) or equivalent approved registry for Cath Lab roles.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification from CCI preferred for applicable job codes.
- Minimum experience as required by job code. Client requires recent Cath Lab or EP experience depending on assigned job code:
- Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist II (job code 8147): Associate's degree or higher in Cardiovascular Technology or Associate's plus a minimum of 3 years recent Cath Lab experience.
- Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist EP (job code 8153): Five years recent EP experience OR two of the following: CI, VI, or RCIS certifications.
- Special Procedures Tech I (job code 8150): Graduate of JRCERT Radiologic Program, ARRT registration, Massachusetts RT license, and specified radiology experience.
- Special Procedures Tech II/III (job codes 8151–8153): Additional RCIS/CI/VI certification or specified years of recent Cath Lab/EP experience as detailed by job code.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) course completion required where noted by job code.
- State licensure as required by role. Massachusetts licensure required for radiologic technologist roles.
- Experience with interventional and diagnostic procedures including, but not limited to, endovascular, peripheral interventions, embolization, IVC filters, lytic therapy, dialysis access, PICC/TIPC, biopsies, and non-vascular procedures as applicable.
- Electrophysiology experience required for EP-designated roles. Candidates without EP experience should confirm appropriate job code match.
- Preferred: RCIS, CI, or VI certification where noted. These are preferred, not guaranteed requirements for every job code.

Role Overview and Duties
- Assist physicians in all aspects of invasive procedures including scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters.
- Operate interventional imaging and related devices during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Provide patient preparation, procedural explanation, transfer assistance, and post-procedure care to ensure safety and comfort.
- Set up and break down sterile trays, maintain inventory, and perform preventative maintenance and routine safety checks on interventional equipment.
- Assist with administration of contrast media per policy and under physician direction.
- For EP-designated roles, manage EP program responsibilities and remain current on EP developments.
