We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider in Chicago, IL where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state respiratory therapist license in good standing with the Illinois licensing board.
• One year experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• BLS certification.
• Experience operating and maintaining mechanical ventilators, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation modalities.
• Ability to perform arterial blood gas sampling and interpret results.
• Experience with airway management including tracheostomy care, endotracheal tube insertion and removal, and suctioning techniques.
• Competence with cardiopulmonary monitoring: pulse oximetry, capnography, and 12-lead EKG acquisition with basic arrhythmia recognition.
• Familiarity with procedures such as bronchoscopy assistance, chest tube management, and pleural drainage devices in an acute hospital setting.
• Preferred: ACLS certification.
