We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current RRT credential in good standing with state licensing board.
• Current state license in good standing with the State License Board.
• One year experience as an RRT in an acute care hospital setting preferred. Client requires experience providing intensive respiratory care and patient transport in a hospital environment.
• Experience with invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, ventilator set-up and self-test, and operation of a variety of ventilatory equipment as required by hospital policy.
• Competence in airway management including endotracheal tube insertion and removal and tracheostomy care; experience assisting with bronchoscopic procedures and chest tube management preferred.
• Experience performing arterial puncture and monitoring arterial blood gases, oximetry, and capnography.
• Ability to perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, tracheal), and PleurX or similar catheter drainage procedures when applicable.
• Familiarity with pulmonary function testing (NIF, VC, etc.), 12-lead EKG acquisition, and basic arrhythmia recognition.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Competence with respiratory documentation and charge capture systems. Electronic medical record experience preferred.
• Ability to work with moderate complexity lab procedures related to specimen handling and quality control, when applicable.
• Must be able to work nights. Two positions available.
