Description
We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Tulsa, OK where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
- Current Oklahoma state license in good standing with the State License Board.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
- One year experience as an RRT, including ventilator weaning and management of invasive and non-invasive ventilation preferred.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Experience performing arterial puncture, oximetry and capnography monitoring, 12-lead EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition.
- Experience with tracheostomy care, endotracheal tube insertion/removal (including video laryngoscopy) and suctioning techniques.
- Familiarity with ventilator setup, self-test procedures, mechanical ventilation operation and preventive maintenance of respiratory equipment.
- Ability to assist with bronchoscopy, chest tube management, and pulmonary function testing (NIF, VC) preferred.
