We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state respiratory therapy license in good standing with Wisconsin licensing board.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Minimum 5 years of Respiratory Therapist experience preferred; facility will accept first-time travelers.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record required.
• Experience across patient populations from neonates to geriatrics, including ED and MedSurg environments.
• Skills required: assisting with intubations, drawing arterial blood gases, providing CPAP care, assisting ED ventilated patients for stabilization and transfer, and functioning as the sole on-site RRT when scheduled.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong interpersonal and confident clinical skills.

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Hospital.
• Shift: Nights.
• Standard hours per week: 36.
• Schedule cycle: Rotating set schedule; work 3 shifts for 3 weeks, then 3 different shifts for 3 weeks.
• Shift times at facility: 1800-0630 (nights) and 0600-1830 (days) noted by facility; nights assignment will follow nights schedule.
• Weekend rotation: Every 3rd weekend with opportunity for every other weekend.
• Holiday expectation: 50% of holidays covered per contract.
• Orientation: One shift of facility orientation required.
• Floating: No floating to other facilities required.
