Description
Join our skilled team of imaging professionals as an Interventional Radiology Technologist. You will perform invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures, operate and ensure quality assurance of imaging equipment, monitor patients, and assist radiologists and nurses during procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- ARRT(R) certification required.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year Interventional Radiology experience required. First-time travelers will be considered.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- State radiologic technologist license for North Carolina required.
- Familiarity with common IR procedures such as embolizations (visceral GI bleed, uterine artery, prostate, liver chemo), port insertion/removal, nephrostomy tube insertion, IVC filter placement/retrieval, biliary stent procedures, vascular stent placement, angioplasty, gastrostomy/jejunal tube procedures, and vascular access device insertions and exchanges preferred.
- Experience with EPIC EMR and PACS (Philips iSite) preferred.
- Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI) certification preferred.
- Ability to communicate which listed procedures you are inexperienced or uncomfortable performing; manager notification required.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital.
- Shift: Days.
- Scheduled shift days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
- Shift hours: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- Schedule pattern: 3x12 shifts.
- Department support: 3 techs daily rotating roles; radiology nursing and radiologist support available.
- Orientation: 1 day administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review), plus 2 days to 1 week departmental orientation as needed.
- Floating: No floating required.

- Department size and acuity: hospital with approximately 373 licensed beds, ED, ICU, PCU, observation units, and 14 OR suites; average inpatient census around 400.
- Common patient sources: Emergency Department, inpatient units, observation units, and outpatient services.
- Scrub color: Navy blue.
