What You'll Need:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program

• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (ARRT[T] preferred)

• Valid VT state Radiation Therapist license

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Radiation Therapist or equivalent experience in radiation oncology

• Experience with treatment planning verification, field verification films, and daily patient treatment documentation

• Ability to prepare daily schedules, perform dose calculations, and submit daily treatment billing accurately

• Comfort working with a variety of treatment machines and accessories, following established protocols

Minimum Requirements (Client Specific)

• Medical Radiologic / Nuclear Medicine Technologist credential as required by the facility

• VT state Radiation Therapist license required

• ARRT(T) certification required

• BLS (Basic Life Support) required

• At least 2 years' clinical experience in radiation therapy or related medical imaging/radiation oncology settings

• Experience presenting field verification films to physicians and implementing set-up adjustments as directed

• Experience preparing dose calculations and maintaining accurate patient treatment records

• Preferred: prior outpatient radiation therapy experience and familiarity with billing for daily patient treatments

Additional Duties:

• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment in accordance with facility protocols.

• Accurately position patients and ensure proper immobilization during treatment.

• Verify treatment plans and dosage with the oncology team and present verification films to physicians as required.

• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after therapy and direct patients to nursing or physician staff for weekly evaluations.

• Document treatments, prepare dose calculations, and maintain accurate patient records.

• Prepare daily treatment schedules and ensure accessories are prepared and accounted for.
