We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider in York, PA where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Pennsylvania state license or compact-eligible license in good standing with the State License Board.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience as an RRT in an acute care or hospital setting. Preference given to candidates with experience in intensive care units, ventilator management, and emergency response.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting invasive and non-invasive ventilators, performing arterial blood gas sampling, capnography, oximetry, and 12-lead EKG acquisition.
• Experience with airway management, endotracheal tube insertion and removal, tracheostomy care, suctioning techniques, and chest tube/PleurX management.
• Ability to perform pulmonary function testing and participate in bronchoscopy, chest tube placement support, and other respiratory procedures according to hospital policy.
• Familiarity with respiratory therapy documentation, charging processes, and electronic medical record systems used in hospital environments.
• Ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.
