Description
We’re hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Cincinnati, OH where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
- Current state respiratory care license in good standing. OH license preferred; KY license preferred.
- One year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in an acute care or hospital setting.
- BLS certification required. ACLS preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with mechanical ventilation management, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and ventilator setup and self-test procedures.
- Experience performing arterial puncture and blood gas analysis, oximetry and capnography monitoring.
- Competence with airway management including endotracheal tube and tracheostomy insertion/removal and suctioning techniques.
- Experience with cardiopulmonary monitoring including 12-lead EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition.
- Ability to perform pulmonary function testing and chest physiotherapy according to policy.
- Ability to assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube care per hospital policy.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation, respiratory therapy charging, and to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Preferred: prior experience in moderate or high complexity hospital labs and familiarity with equipment maintenance and preventative repair processes.
