Description
Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights? Join a hospital team in Charlotte, NC as a Cath Lab Tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role assisting physicians and Cath Lab personnel with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Operate advanced imaging equipment and provide hands-on support during cases involving coronary interventions, device placements, and electrophysiology procedures.
What You'll Need:
- ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist or equivalent credential.
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) from CCI preferred.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a hospital Cath Lab or interventional cardiac setting.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Competency with IABP and Impella devices required for both RN and Tech candidates.
- Experience with sheath management, TR band placement/removal, line securement, and aseptic technique.
- Ability to interpret EKG/cardiac rhythms and familiarity with art line, CVP line management, and cardiac drips is required for RN roles; demonstrated rhythm interpretation skills expected for Tech roles.
- EPIC experience preferred.
- State licensure as required.
Minimum Requirements (Client Specific)
- Minimum 2 years' combined RN & Tech experience in Cardiac/Cath Lab settings as specified by the facility.
- RN candidates: BLS and ACLS required.
- Cath Lab Tech candidates: BLS, ACLS, and ARRT or RCIS required.
- Required competency with IABP/Impella; candidates will be declined if not competent with these devices.
- Demonstrated experience with sheath pulling, TR band placement/removal, EKG/cardiac rhythm interpretation, and aseptic technique.
- Experience using EPIC and department-specific imaging systems (Merge/Hemo) preferred.
- Willingness to complete facility and departmental orientation: NEO plus 3–4 days departmental orientation.
- Traveler permanent address must be 50 miles outside the home unit per facility radius rule.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital (Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, outpatient interventional cardiac services).
- Shift: Days.
- Shift pattern: Four 10-hour shifts per week.
- Shift hours: 07:00–18:00.
- Duration: 13 week travel assignment.
- Standard hours per week: 40.
- Orientation: NEO plus 3–4 days departmental orientation.
- Floating: None.
