Description
We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local long-term care provider in Detroit, MI where you’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
- Current state license in good standing with the State License Board (MI license required).
- One year experience as an RRT.
- BLS certification.
- Experience providing care in long-term care or skilled nursing environments preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain mechanical ventilators, perform arterial puncture, oximetry and capnography monitoring, and deliver invasive and non-invasive ventilatory support.
- Familiarity with tracheostomy care, suctioning techniques, chest physiotherapy, and pulmonary function testing preferred.
- ACLS certification preferred.
