What You'll Need:
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program
• AART Certification in Radiation Therapy
• Valid Radiation Therapy state license, if required by New Mexico
• 2 years' experience as a radiation therapist
• Experience with linear accelerators and patient immobilization techniques.
• Experience working in a hospital radiation oncology department or cancer center.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams and verify treatment plans accurately.
Minimum Requirements:
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program.
• AART Certification in Radiation Therapy.
• Valid New Mexico Radiation Therapy license, if required.
• Minimum 2 years' clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist in a hospital or cancer center setting.
• Proficiency operating linear accelerators and familiarity with treatment planning verification workflows.
• Ability to perform accurate patient positioning and immobilization for external beam radiation therapy.
• Experience with electronic medical record documentation for radiation therapy treatments.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, if required by employer. (Preferred: advanced certifications related to oncology patient care.)

Additional Duties:
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators.
• Accurately position patients and ensure proper immobilization during treatment.
• Verify treatment plans and dosage with the oncology team prior to delivery.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after therapy and document observations.
• Maintain accurate patient treatment records and comply with safety and quality protocols.
