We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Jackson, MS where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Mississippi state license in good standing with the State License Board.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Minimum one year experience as an RRT in an acute care hospital setting preferred; experience with mechanical ventilation and invasive/non-invasive ventilation required.
• BLS certification required. ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with arterial blood gas sampling, oximetry and capnography monitoring, 12-lead EKG, pulmonary function testing, and tracheostomy care required.
• Ability to perform suctioning, chest physiotherapy, and assist with bronchoscopy and chest tube procedures according to policy.
• Competence operating and troubleshooting a variety of ventilators and respiratory equipment, including ventilator setup and self-testing.
