Description
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist - OB/GYN for a travel assignment in Charlotte, NC. You will perform high-risk obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations to assist Maternal Fetal Medicine providers in diagnosis and management while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
Minimum Requirements:
- ARDMS – OB certification required.
- Minimum 1 year ultrasound technologist experience in OB/GYN or maternal fetal medicine. (Client requirement)
- BLS certification required.
- Experience obtaining nuchal translucency in first trimester scans and performing umbilical artery and MCA Dopplers.
- Demonstrated ability to obtain fetal cardiac views: 4-chamber heart, LVOT, RVOT, aortic arch, ductal arch, SVC-IVC, and 3-vessel view.
- Ability to work independently in an outpatient maternal fetal medicine clinic.
- Fetal echo certification preferred.
- Preferred: experience with GE ultrasound platforms (e.g., E8, Expert 22) and familiarity with EPIC/ASOBGYN EMR.
Assignment Details:
- Facility type: Hospital — Outpatient Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic.
- Shift: Days.
- Shift hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00.
- Schedule: 5x8, 40 hours per week.
- Duration: 13 week travel assignment.
- Orientation: Up to 1 week, dependent on experience and skillset.
- Patient population: High-risk OB patients including multiple gestation, TTTS assessment, advanced maternal age, pre-existing maternal conditions, fetal anomalies, and abnormal fetal growth.
- Typical volume: Approximately 10 patients per day per sonographer.
- Floating: May be required to float to nearby outpatient clinics within the same metropolitan area as needed.
- Department support: Departmental leadership, peer sonographers, provider and NP support, nursing staff, MA, and receptionist. No on-site radiologist; MFM physicians on site most clinic days.
- Equipment/technology: GE ultrasound systems (E8, Expert 22), Trophon, EPIC/ASOBGYN EMR.
- Scrub color: Grey or black. Parking: Free.
