We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in St. Louis, MO where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state Respiratory Therapist license in good standing with the Missouri licensing board.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Minimum 2 years of adult critical care respiratory experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and care for ARDS and pneumonia patients required.
• Competence with airway management devices, suctioning, aerosol setup (mask/trach), metered dose inhalers, and nebulizers required.
• ABG interpretation, drawing arterial blood gases, and basic EKG interpretation required.
• Medication administration experience required. Familiarity with Pyxis medication system preferred.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• First-time travel clinicians accepted.
• Weekend requirement: every third weekend required.
• Locals within a 75-mile radius are not accepted.

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Hospital (30-bed MICU, 10-bed Cardiac ICU, Emergency Department; not a trauma center).
• Primary specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Shift name: Nights.
• Shift schedule: Night 3x12-hour, 18:00 - 06:30.
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
• On-call: No.
• Floating: Clinician will not be required to float to other facilities.
• Team size: Approximately 5–7 therapists per night shift.
