Description
Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights? Join our team as a cath lab tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role on a team that values your expertise—while enjoying the professional opportunity of a new location. Provide full-time clinical support while assisting physicians and other cath lab personnel in conducting diagnostic tests and interventional procedures. Operate advanced medical equipment to capture crucial images and hemodynamic data of the heart and vascular system.
What You'll Need:
- ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a hospital-based Cath Lab or interventional cardiology setting.
- BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association preferred).
- State specific licensure when required.
- Client-specific requirements: demonstrated experience with IABP and Impella devices. Proven interventional cath experience with peripheral and coronary procedures. Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred.
- Required certifications: ACLS.
- Preferred: experience with EP procedures and implantable devices (pacemakers, AICD), and proficiency in IVUS and FFR.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Skilled Nursing Facility (Cath Lab services within hospital-affiliated skilled nursing context).
- Shift: Days.
- Shift hours: 07:00-15:00.
- Typical procedures: heart caths, interventions, pacemaker/AICD implants, Watchman, EP ablations, peripheral arterial/venous interventions.
- Patient ratio: typically 1:1 for procedural monitoring.
- Equipment commonly used: IABP, Impella, stents, balloons, IVUS, FFR, ultrasound.
- EMR: Meditech.
- Floating: may float to IR, ICU (if competency met), and pre/post PACU cath areas.
- On-call requirements: every other weekend on-call and alternate nights on-call during the week. 30-minute callback response time expected.
- Dress code: navy scrubs.
