We’re hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Rome, GA. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. This role supports multiple departments including emergency, medical-surgical, stepdown, observation, and combined ICUs. The department uses EPIC and common ventilators such as Getinge Servo U and Servo Air.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Current Georgia state respiratory license in good standing.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
• Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience preferred; will accept first-time travelers.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS required.
• Experience with mechanical ventilator management and therapist-driven protocols.
• Intubation experience preferred.
• Experience working in level 2 trauma, ED, med-surg, stepdown, and ICU environments preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records.
• Familiarity with ABL90 point-of-care testing devices.
• Prior experience in teaching hospital settings or residency program environments.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900-0700.
• Shift pattern: 3x12.
• Standard hours per week: 36.
• Department orientation: 2 days departmental; facility orientation provided.
• May be expected to provide respiratory care across multiple units throughout the facility.
