We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Loxahatchee, FL where you’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state respiratory therapist license in good standing with the State License Board.
• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience.
• Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred by the director.
• Experience with oxygen cylinders and concentrators, nebulizers, suction machines, CPAP and BiPAP equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Stroke education and experience.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) experience.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900-0700.
• Patient ratios typically 1:1 and 2:1.
• Unit size: 12 beds with a 5–8 member team including director, lead RRT, permanent RRTs and per diem staff.
• Typical procedures: treatments and evaluations for respiratory insufficiencies, asthma, pneumonia, emphysema.
