Join a hospital in Carmichael, CA as a Cath Lab Technologist (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role on a team that values your expertise while experiencing a new location. Assist physicians and other cath lab personnel in conducting diagnostic tests and procedures. Operate advanced imaging and monitoring equipment to capture crucial images and data of the heart and vascular system.

Minimum Qualifications

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) verification required. Must have scrub experience for PCI/STEMI and be able to scrub cardiac and peripheral cases.
• BLS certification required.
• COVID vaccine required (proof/certification required).
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required.
• Experience with Cerner charting system.
• Ability to work with ventilated patients and general cath lab/IR tech duties.
• Must provide two supervisory references at time of submittal: one within 12 months and one within 3 years.
• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI and/or Dignity) within the past year. PRN employment through outside firms is acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with a variety of cath lab and peripheral procedures including carotid, AV grafts, EVAR, and peripheral diagnostic and interventional cases.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• ARRT radiologic technologist credential preferred when applicable.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0700-1700 (per client shift details).
• Typical schedule: Monday–Friday with required call duties. Call response time: 30 minutes.
• Average caseload: approximately 8 cases per day.
• Orientation: generally 1–2 shifts depending on skill level. Unit-specific orientation hours noted as 12 in order notes.
• EMR/Equipment: Cerner.
• Call expectation: on average 12 call days per month, which includes at least one weekend (Friday 1730 through Monday 0700). Holiday call assigned and rotating.
• Floating: Not required.
• Scrubs: hospital provided.

Impacting the Quality of Care for Patients Nationwide

As a traveling clinician, you will provide essential procedural support in invasive cardiology and peripheral interventions. Work within a multidisciplinary team including RT 24/7, IV team, and 24/7 pharmacy to deliver timely, patient-centered care. Cases include all cardiac invasive procedures except structural heart, and selected peripheral and IR procedures. Maintain procedural readiness for PCI/STEMI activations.
