We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Florence, SC where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The role includes providing respiratory care across multiple units, responding to emergency alerts, and performing specialized procedures when trained.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Current state respiratory therapy license in good standing.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
• One year of experience as an RRT.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Experience managing ventilated patients and working in acute hospital settings, including step-down and floor assignments.
• Experience with ventilators and respiratory equipment such as Servo-i and V60 BiPAP preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized training or experience in pulmonary function testing, methacholine challenge, hyperbaric medicine, NICU/PICU care, or asthma education preferred.
• Experience performing intrahospital transports for CT, MRI, or special procedures preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 07:00–19:30.
• Schedule: Every other weekend off (No Call every other weekend).
• Work assignments paired with step-down and/or floor assignments; floor assignments may cover multiple floors.
• Average patient load may include up to 8 ventilated patients in a unit; typical floor assignments include 3–4 floors.
• Average intrahospital transports: 2–3 per shift (CT, MRI, specials).
• May require use of bulk equipment such as Servo-i ventilator, V60 BiPAP, and i-STAT for ABG analysis.
