We’re hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Anderson, SC. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment and care for patients with breathing disorders. Responsibilities include delivering intensive respiratory care, patient transport, operating ventilatory equipment, performing arterial punctures, tracheostomy care, suctioning, chest physiotherapy, oximetry and capnography monitoring, 12-lead EKGs and basic arrhythmia recognition, pulmonary function studies, assisting with bronchoscopic and chest tube procedures, mechanical ventilator setup and management, equipment maintenance support, documentation of treatments and patient responses, and participation in shift handoffs and interdisciplinary communication.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state respiratory care license in good standing.
• One year experience as an RRT.
• BLS certification.
• Experience operating and managing mechanical ventilators and providing invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
• Experience with arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation.
• Experience performing tracheostomy care and endotracheal intubation or assisting with intubation.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with bronchoscopy and chest tube support preferred.
• Prior experience with capnography and pulmonary function testing preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: 3x12.
