Description
We’re hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a hospital in Tulsa, OK. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. Responsibilities include ventilator management, ventilator weaning, airway management, arterial puncture, suctioning, chest physiotherapy, tracheostomy care, respiratory monitoring (oximetry, capnography), 12-lead EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition, pulmonary function testing, assisting with procedures (bronchoscopy, chest tubes, percutaneous trachs), and routine equipment setup and maintenance. You will document treatments, communicate with physicians, and participate in shift-to-shift handoffs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
- Current state RRT license in good standing.
- One year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- BLS certification.
- Experience with mechanical ventilation and ventilator weaning.
- Proficiency with arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation.
- Experience providing respiratory care in an acute hospital setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Prior experience with bronchoscopy and tracheostomy procedures preferred.
- Experience with capnography and advanced monitoring preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift pattern: Nights, 3x12.
- Facility type: Hospital setting; candidate may be expected to provide care across acute care units.
