We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Columbus, OH. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. Responsibilities include providing intensive respiratory care, patient transport, conducting physician‑prescribed treatments, monitoring ventilation and oxygenation, performing diagnostic procedures, assisting with respiratory procedures, and maintaining accurate treatment documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Ohio state license in good standing with the State License Board.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Minimum one year experience as an RRT in an acute hospital setting preferred; experience with mechanical ventilation and invasive/non‑invasive ventilation required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience performing arterial puncture, 12‑lead EKG, oximetry and capnography monitoring, suctioning (including tracheal), and tracheostomy care.
• Ability to operate and perform set‑up and self‑test on various ventilators and respiratory equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with bronchoscopy assistance, chest tube management, and pleural drainage devices preferred.
• Prior experience in moderate complexity hospital laboratories and pulmonary function testing preferred.

Assignment Details

• Night shift schedule: 3x12
• 13 week assignment
• Candidate may be required to float to other facilities as needed.
