We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Daytona Beach, FL where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The role includes providing intensive respiratory care, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, operating and monitoring ventilatory equipment, assisting with respiratory-related procedures, and documenting patient responses and treatments. You will work within the scope of your professional license and collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, effective respiratory care.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Florida state license in good standing with the State License Board.
• One year experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• BLS certification.
• Clinical experience with mechanical ventilation, including set-up, self-test, operation, maintenance and monitoring of various ventilators.
• Experience performing arterial puncture, oximetry, capnography monitoring, suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, tracheal), tracheostomy care, and endotracheal tube insertion/removal.
• Experience with cardiopulmonary resuscitation per BLS/ACLS guidelines and basic arrhythmia recognition/12-lead EKG.
• Experience assisting with bronchoscopies, chest tube procedures, and other respiratory-related procedures.
• Ability to perform pulmonary function studies (e.g., NIF, VC) and interpret chest x-rays for routine review.
• Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel assignment with this client preferred.

• Shift pattern: Nights, 3x12.
• Position available: 1.
• May be required to float to other facilities as needed.
