Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program.

• ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy.

• Valid Radiation Therapy state license, if required.

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a radiation therapist.

• BLS certification.

• Experience or willingness to perform brachytherapy, including running HDR units and assisting in brachytherapy implants; candidate must pass NRC Radiation Safety exam within the first two weeks of the assignment (study materials provided).

• Experience with HDR treatments and radiopharmaceutical administrations preferred.

• Ability to manage a daily caseload of approximately 8–15 patients.

• Pending state license accepted.

• First-time travel clinicians accepted.

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT (T) preferred.

• Cross-training experience in proton therapy, external beam, and simulation preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 06:15–16:45.
• Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday with rotating days off in the brachytherapy department.
• No weekends or holidays required.
• Daily caseload: 8–15 patients.
• Must pass NRC Radiation Safety exam within first two weeks (materials provided).
• Floating to sister facilities: No.
• Locals within 75 miles are not accepted.

Impacting Patient Care

Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment. Accurately position patients and ensure proper immobilization during treatment. Verify treatment plans and dosage with the oncology team. Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after therapy. Document treatments and maintain accurate patient records. Assist with brachytherapy procedures, HDR treatments, and radiopharmaceutical administrations. Opportunity to cross-train in proton, external beam, and simulation. Overtime opportunities may be available.
