We’re hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Phoenix, AZ where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The position requires independent delivery of respiratory care, pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing, ventilator management, durable medical equipment handling, patient assessments, documentation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Candidates may be assigned to multiple care areas and may supervise department staff when required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or technical degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Proof of having passed the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). RRT required for all new hires after October 1, 2015.
• Current Arizona Respiratory License in good standing as required by state law.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Knowledge of clinical techniques, applications, and respiratory equipment as typically obtained through one year of clinical experience.
• Ability to perform pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing and manage mechanical ventilators according to protocols.
• Must meet physical requirements including ability to stand, walk, lift up to 75 pounds, and use proper body mechanics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
• NICU Level 3 experience preferred.
• Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

• Shift hours: 1800 - 06:30.
• Shift type: Nights.

Impacting Patient Care

As a registered respiratory therapist on this assignment you will provide clinically driven respiratory services across the care continuum. Your role will support patient outcomes through ventilator management, pulmonary diagnostics, patient assessment, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Your documentation will reflect accurate, complete records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
