We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Rome, GA where you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The position supports care across emergency, medical-surgical, stepdown, and ICU settings in a Level II trauma, teaching hospital with chest pain and stroke center services. You will work with a multidisciplinary team and use departmental protocols and advanced ventilator equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Current state Respiratory Therapist license in good standing.
• Current RRT required.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS required.
• 2-3 years of clinical Respiratory Therapist experience preferred by the facility. First-time travelers accepted.
• Experience with mechanical ventilator management and therapist-driven protocols required.
• Experience with EPIC or similar EMR preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Intubation experience preferred.
• Experience in trauma, critical care, or stepdown environments preferred.
• Familiarity with Getinge Servo ventilators and ABL90 point-of-care devices preferred.

Assignment Details

• Nightshift 7pm-7am.
• Standard hours per week: 36.
• Department orientation: 2 days departmental; NEO provided.
• Respiratory leadership and peer RT support available.
• Scrub color: Royal Blue.
