We are hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care in a hospital setting in Charlotte, NC. The clinician will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment and care for neonate and pediatric patients with respiratory needs. This role supports a Level IV NICU and pediatric population across the facility. Applicants must meet facility requirements for specialty pediatric respiratory practice and credentialing prior to start.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Current NC respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• RRT or CRT required.
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience with pediatric-focused assignments within the past 5 years. Candidates must have had pediatric-only assignments, not mixed-age populations.
• Experience with IPPV/NIPPV ventilators and pediatric ventilator management.
• Certifications required: BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP.
• Experience with ED, PICU, Pediatric CVICU, Pediatric PCU, or general pediatric medical floors preferred. Specify ED or ICU level experience and duration in offer email.
• Ability to test out of EPIC for onboarding preferred; experience with EPIC EMR is beneficial.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a Level IV NICU or pediatric teaching hospital.
• Previous resource team experience or travel assignments in pediatric-only facilities.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0700-1900.
• Weekend rotation: every other weekend.
• Holiday expectation: travelers will work approximately 75% of holidays.
• Orientation: approximately 3 days total covering unit and facility onboarding, with additional unit-specific orientation if working multiple intensive care areas. Includes computer, equipment, and facility orientation.
• Respiratory leadership support available within the department.
• Floating: staff in this specialty will not float to other facilities.
