We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Tallahassee, FL where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The Respiratory department rotates therapists through all floors including two 10-bed ICUs. Staff collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in unit rounding to support patient care. The unit uses Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, Phillips V60+, and Siemens EPOC bedside ABG analyzers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Current state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Minimum one year of experience as an RRT, with critical care and emergency care experience preferred.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP.
• Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP, aerosol treatments, and bedside ABG analysis.
• Experience using Meditech documentation system preferred.
• Ability to float throughout inpatient units as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in an acute care hospital environment with medical/surgical and ICU exposure.
• Familiarity with Puritan Bennett 980 and Phillips V60+ ventilators.
• Experience assisting with intubation and bedside bronchoscopy.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 07:00–19:00.
• Scheduling requirements include a minimum of three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends.
• Floating: will rotate throughout all inpatient units.
