Description

Jackson HealthPros is excited to add an experienced Radiologic Technologist / X-Ray Technologist to our team where you will be responsible for performing a variety of radiographic procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. This role supports a busy Level II trauma hospital with high-acuity cases and both inpatient and outpatient populations. Candidates should expect a fast-paced environment and may occasionally work with pediatric outpatients and emergency department patients.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT registration required. (Alabama has no state X-ray license; ARRT is the requirement.)
  • BLS certification required.
  • Demonstrated fluoroscopy experience, surgical and portable radiography experience, and trauma/diagnostic radiography experience.
  • Experience working in a high-acuity, high-volume hospital setting. Candidates with strong skills may be considered with 1 year of experience. First-time travelers considered with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to use or willingness to learn vendor equipment including GE and Siemens fluoroscopy, Konica DR, Siemens x-ray rooms, GE and Carestream portables.
  • Ability and willingness to float throughout the hospital and work in different areas of the radiology department.
  • Must bring own radiographic marker.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • O-arm experience preferred.
  • DEXA experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a Level II or Level I trauma center preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Shift hours: 1100-2100.
  • Shift schedule: Mid shift 4x10.
  • Orientation: 1 eight-hour hospital orientation day plus 2–3 shifts on unit (day shift with another tech).
  • Weekend rotation: Varies; typically about once per month but subject to departmental needs.
  • Holiday expectations: One major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy; scheduling not guaranteed.
  • On-call requirement: Voluntary.
  • Floating: Yes. Candidate will float throughout the hospital and within radiology department areas.
  • Typical patient volume: Average approximately 4 patients per hour (about 40 patients per day).
