Description
We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Los Alamos, NM where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
- Current New Mexico state license in good standing, or eligible for licensure prior to start.
- One year experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- BLS certification required.
- All clinical staff assigned in New Mexico must complete state fingerprinting and background screening. Travelers may begin on a supervised waiver while results are pending.
- Required certifications specific to respiratory practice must be held prior to start.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in acute care hospital settings.
- Familiarity with adult and pediatric ventilator management.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 07:00–19:00.
- Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
- Travel candidates must be located 60 miles or greater to be considered for travel roles.
- New Mexico Department of Health portal account required for agencies; ORI code NM920160z used for background submissions.
