We’re hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to work nights at a hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders across adult and pediatric populations. This role supports a Level 1 trauma, academic medical center with a diverse patient mix including post-surgical, pneumonia, COPD, and pediatric diagnoses.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current North Carolina respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Minimum 2 years of critical care respiratory therapy experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required for adult RT care.
• PALS and NRP required for NICU/Pediatrics roles.
• Experience with critical care in high-acuity or Level 1 trauma settings preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ventilator platforms and department equipment such as Servo U, Servo Air, Heated High Flow, Aerogen, The Vest, Volara, and cough assist.
• Pediatric-specific experience with HFJV and HFOV preferred for NICU/Peds assignments.
• Previous experience in a teaching hospital or academic medical center is preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 18:30 - 07:00.
• Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks with weekend rotation approximately every other weekend.
• Holiday expectation: travelers will work 75% of holidays.
• Orientation: departmental orientation of 1-2 days with facility NEO.
• Floating: assignments will be based on traveler experience and unit needs; traveler will be assigned appropriately.
