Jackson HealthPros is seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures, prepare and position patients, and operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images. The role requires independent, safety-focused practice and effective communication with patients and the care team. Candidates should be prepared to work in a hospital environment with a variety of patient types, including adult and older pediatric patients, and handle a typical daily volume of imaging studies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in MRI (ARRT-MR) or ARMRIT.
• State radiologic technologist license for Maine.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years' MRI experience. Facility will accept a mixture of acute and outpatient experience. First-time travelers are not accepted.
• Experience with MRI patient types listed: neuro (strokes), head/neck/spine, soft tissue, hips, oncology, extremities, joints, abdominal, breast, prostate, and some angiograms.
• Comfort with independent work. Ability to perform IV starts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Philips MRI systems, specifically 1.5T Philips Ingenia Ambition.
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR and Agfa PACS.
• Previous work in hospital environments that include ED, ICU, MedSurg, inpatient and outpatient settings.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0800-1700.
• Schedule pattern: Four 10-hour shifts. Schedule cycles Monday–Thursday one week and Tuesday–Friday the next, repeating.
• Typical patient volume: Average 12–16 patients per day.
• Orientation: Standard New Employee Orientation with one week of orienting.
• Radiologist coverage: On-site Wednesday and Thursday; remote reads during normal business hours and separate coverage after 1700.
• EMR/PACS: Cerner and Agfa.
• Equipment: 1.5 Tesla Philips Ingenia Ambition.
• Floating: No.
• Weekend rotation: No.
• On call: No.
