Description
Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights. Join a hospital team in Tacoma, WA as a Cath Lab Tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role on a multidisciplinary team that values your procedural skills. Assist physicians and Cath Lab personnel with diagnostic and interventional procedures. Operate advanced imaging and hemodynamic equipment to capture crucial data on the heart and vascular system.
Minimum Qualifications
- ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist or equivalent credential.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) verification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience in a hospital setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Experience with sedation, Phase I recovery, ICU or PACU preferred.
- Experience with EP and Cath Lab procedures, including right and left heart catheterization, structural heart procedures (TAVR, mitral clip), IABP and Impella support.
- Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
- Familiarity with MacLab and GE imaging systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- RT or RCES credentials preferred in addition to RCIS.
- Prior experience working in combined Cath Lab/EP units and floating between suites.
- Previous experience circulating, scrubbing, and documenting in cardiac procedural suites.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 0700–1700.
- Call requirement: 8–10 days of call in a 6-week period.
- Orientation: 1 week unit-specific orientation; 12 total orientation hours noted.
- May float or take cases in EP lab as part of a combined unit approach.
- May work past scheduled end time to complete cases.
