This role requires certified Radiation Therapists, not Radiation Technologists.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program.

• AART (ARRT) Certification in Radiation Therapy.

• Valid New Mexico Radiation Therapy state license, if required.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Radiation Therapist.

• Required certifications completed prior to start as noted by the client.

• Compliance with New Mexico Department of Health fingerprint/background screening process. Clinical staff must be fingerprinted before hire and provide documentation that the check is being processed. Travelers may start on a supervised 14-day waiver while awaiting results. Each agency must have an account with NM DOH and submit clinicians through the portal (ORI code NM920160z).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a hospital setting.

• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary oncology teams and verifying treatment plans.

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 0800-1700.
• Shift Days: Days (client lists day shift schedule).
• Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.

Impacting Patient Care

As a Radiation Therapist you will operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, accurately position patients and ensure proper immobilization during treatment, verify treatment plans and dosage with the oncology team, monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after therapy, and document treatments while maintaining accurate patient records. You will contribute to a Joint Commission accredited facility that serves inpatient and outpatient populations.
