Minimum Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy or Radiologic Science with a certificate in radiation therapy from an accredited Radiation Therapy Program required.

• Must be registered or registry eligible by the ARRT and obtain ARRT registration within one year from graduation of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program.

• Valid Massachusetts state radiation therapy license required.

• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.

• Two years of experience as a radiation therapist required.

• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or related field preferred.

• Experience operating and maintaining radiation therapy equipment preferred.

• Shift Hours: 0800-1630.

Impacting Patient Care

The Radiation Therapist Level I administers radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist in accordance with accepted practice. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining radiation therapy equipment, accurately positioning patients and ensuring proper immobilization during treatment, verifying treatment plans and dosage with the oncology team, monitoring patients for adverse reactions, and documenting treatments to maintain accurate patient records. This role reports to the Practice Manager and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
