We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in St. Louis, MO where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT.
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record preferred.
• Experience with airway management and suctioning procedures, including endotracheal tube suctioning, extubation, nasal and oral airway suctioning, oral airway placement, oropharyngeal suctioning, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy suctioning.
• Experience administering respiratory medications including albuterol, ipratropium (Atrovent), Combivent, inhaled Flolan, inhaled steroids, lidocaine, inhaled nitric oxide (iNO), Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, and levalbuterol (Xopenex).
• Experience with aerosol medication delivery systems.
• Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs.
• Locals within a 75-mile radius are not accepted.
• Pending state license accepted.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous hospital experience in acute care or neuro diagnostics preferred.
• First-time travelers accepted.

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 18:45 - 07:15.
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts.
• Weekend requirement: every third weekend.
• Clinician may be required to float within scope to meet facility needs.
• Return-to-office (RTO) restrictions: no more than 7 days.
