Description
Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a travel assignment in Montgomery, AL. The MRI Technologist will perform MRI examinations by preparing and positioning patients, operating MRI scanners, following imaging protocols, and producing high-quality diagnostic images. The role requires collaboration with radiologists, adherence to safety standards, and occasional work with pediatric and adult patients in inpatient, outpatient, and ED settings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (R) - MR or ARMRIT.
- BLS certification required.
- Experience performing MR procedures: Head/Neck, Abdomen, Pelvis, Spine, Extremities, and MRAs.
- Experience with Siemens Espree 1.5T or similar MRI systems preferred.
- Ability to work with inpatient, outpatient, and occasional pediatric patients.
- Willingness and ability to float throughout the hospital radiology department.
- Minimum 2 years' experience with required MRI skills. The client may accept candidates with 1 year if they demonstrate strong experience with required skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- State MRI licensure preferred.
- Experience with Cerner EMR.
- Prior experience in a level II trauma center, NICU, or primary stroke center environment preferred.
Assignment Details
- Standard hours per week: 40.
- Shift pattern includes 12-hour, 10-hour, and 8-hour shifts.
- Weekend rotation varies, typically about once per month.
- Orientation: 1 full hospital orientation day (8 hours) plus 2–3 shifts on unit with day shift staff.
- On-call requirement: voluntary.
- Holiday coverage: one major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy; schedule varies per hospital policy.
- Floating: Required to float throughout the hospital radiology department.
- Parking: Free.
