Minimum Qualifications

• ARRT (R)(T) certification in Radiation Therapy or equivalent.

• Valid Connecticut state radiography or radiation therapy license, if required.

• Minimum 1.5 years of Radiation Therapy experience; 2 years preferred.

• Experience operating Varian linear accelerators and on-board imaging systems.

• Experience with simulation procedures and patient immobilization techniques.

• Experience with Varian Aria and AlignRT surface motion technology preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of direct radiation therapy experience.

• Prior hospital or cancer center experience.

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 0700 - 1530.
• Shift Pattern: 5x8.5.
• Work site coverage may include the primary site and possible infrequent coverage at an additional hospital; candidate must be willing to cover multiple nearby locations as needed.

Impacting Patient Care

As a Radiation Therapist on this team, you will operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, accurately position patients, verify treatment plans with the oncology team, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and document treatments to maintain accurate records. Your work will support a multidisciplinary oncology practice and directly affect patient outcomes.
